Forbes Magazine: Dyson one of ‘World’s Best Employers’ and in global top 100 ‘Female-Friendly Companies’
Dyson is one of the “World’s Best Employers” and a Top 100 “Female-Friendly Company” to work for, according to two surveys published by Forbes, the US business magazine.
Forbes partnered with the market research company Statista to identify the best overall employers and those that excel in championing women at work.
For The World’s Best Employers list, 150,000 workers from 57 countries were surveyed to determine which companies excel in corporate impact and image, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility.
Respondents were asked to rate their “willingness to recommend their employers to friends and family and to evaluate other employers in their respective industries that stood out”. Dyson came in the top quarter of the 800 highest-scoring companies from around the globe.
The World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies list was compiled after a survey of 85,000 women working at multinational institutions in 36 countries to determine which ones excel in gender equality, competitive pay and strong career advancement opportunities.
Laura Garza, Chief People Officer, said: “This is very welcome recognition of Dyson’s reputation as an employer and also validation of our efforts, both in Dyson and through our wider outreach, to encourage more women into engineering and into leadership positions.
“Dyson has increased the representation of women on our Executive Committee to 50% in the last 18 months and we have more women in global leadership positions than ever before. We are also encouraging more women into engineering careers through the James Dyson Foundation and the Dyson Institute where female representation is more than double the national average.”
